Born in San José, Costa Rica, David was guided by an early intuition to creating images that eventually found its focus and purpose in cinematography. After studying Audiovisual Communication and working in local camera and lighting departments, he moved to Spain to study at ECAM, later specializing in 35mm at ESCAC.
